Elements: Earth, Water, Air, Fire Art Exhibit & Sale
Each artist has the freedom to interpret the theme "Elements" in their own unique way, allowing them to express their individual perspectives, emotions, and experiences through visual art. In ancient times, it was believed that all things were made up of four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. The exhibition features a variety of artistic mediums including paintings, batik, ceramics, photography, fibers, and stained glass. This art exhibition is generously supported by The Savings Bank.
The ACW and the Room to Write Collaboration
The idea is....Authors submit their writing pieces related to the Elements theme, which are then chosen by artists to serve as the basis for their artwork. It's akin to the partnership in April 2024, except this time writers presented their works before artists created their pieces inspired by the writing. Therefore, it's a playful twist on the previous procedure. There are ten collaborations showcased.
The 5x7 Small Works Fundraiser
Artists who take part in this event are responsible for producing and giving away artworks. These artworks will be available for purchase at $10.00 each, and all the money raised will be given to PAWS of Wakefield. This is an excellent chance to acquire unique art pieces while supporting a good cause. Contributions from anyone willing to join are appreciated, with the only condition being that the donated works must be small, measuring 5 x 7 inches. The Small Works Fundraiser
The ACW Pop Up Shop
ACW artist Joanne Jolly Kay will be the vendor at the Pop Up Shop on Friday night, showcasing a wide variety of mosaic art available for viewing and purchase. The Pop Up Shop highlights artists who display and sell their creations for a single evening. Each of the nine showings in October will feature a different artists.
WHS Visual Arts Exhibit
The debut exhibition of the new school year showcases a wonderful array of pieces, reflecting the art departments ongoing partnership with the ACW at the Albion Cultural Exchange. Visitors are impressed by the quality of teaching, resources, and supplies available at WMHSArt. Witnessing the talent and innovation of these young artists is truly captivating.
