An Artist Directory for the Wakefield Visual Art Community
Constance Festo Lafond
I grew up with an undiagnosed condition called amblyopia, called “lazy eye” affecting depth perception. I had no idea how it influenced my art until at the age of 30 when it was it was corrected. I was concerned about a shift in my painting style. I happily realized now I could enjoy using both ways of describing the world. Many of my paintings show both positive & negative space described using color. My abstract paintings offer a colorful kinetic experience to the viewer open to interpretation. My artwork on women's fashions has been a wonderful way to bring my work to another audience.
